What we Do
Stanton Studios works with architects and interior designers, home owners, churches, and businesses to create custom, hand-crafted architectural art pieces in the mediums of glass, metal, and wood.
The Wood Shop
Stanton Studios’s woodshop, also known as Stanton Woodworks, began when Nathan Stanton was 18 years old and has grown to be a large business of wood craftsmanship. Clients from around the state of Texas have requested Stanton Woodworks to build custom wood creations for their business or homes.
Stanton Woodworks will partner with you to discuss and design your vision for a custom piece in wood. Some of the past projects from the wood shop are:
- Architectural window frames
Whatever your vision looks like, Stanton Woodworks can make it happen.
The Glass Shop
The glass shop of Stanton Studios, originally called Stanton Glass Studio, is still producing beautiful stained and leaded glass pieces. Some of our glass shop pieces include:
- Stained and leaded glass windows
- Hand-painted glass windows Entries
- Light fixtures
- Glass sculptures
We work with you to create a design, send proofs of the layout, fabricate the project, and install the art piece. Stanton Studios has done work in cathedrals, churches, hotels, restaurants, convention centers, and private residences. Our company also offers hot, blown glass during certain seasons of the year in our glass blowing shop. Please contact our office for more information about custom blown glass creations like bowls, lamp shades, and light fixtures.
The metal Shop
The studio designs and creates metal pieces in-house like light fixtures and window frames. Stanton Studios has also collaborated with other metal artisans in the area to design and create large sculptures like the three story DNA art fixture at McLennan Community College.
Stanton Studios also designs and builds metal sculptures for public art spaces.
If you have inquiries for metal artwork, please contact our office.
Stanton Studios also specializes in historical stained glass restoration. We have restored some of the Southwest’s most impressive and historic stained glass windows, domes, and skylights. Stanton Studios focuses on the proper installation of protective glass coverings and ventilation used to protect stained glass windows. We have restored windows damaged by fires, hurricanes, vandalism, etc. We also perform routine cleaning of historical windows from churches and businesses.
During the cooler months of the year, Stanton Studios opens up the glassblowing shop for mouth-blown art pieces like pumpkins, ornaments, and vases. We invite our customers out to the studio to try their own hand at blowing their own pumpkins in October and ornaments before Christmas each year.
